Local Scholarships

FHS provides opportunities for our students to apply for local scholarships administered by organizations and non-profit groups within our community.  These scholarships will be updated each spring with up-to-date scholarship applications.  All documents listed below in DEADLINE order and are available with direct links to the website, google form or PDF application as applicable.   

Please pay attention to the specific details on each application for where each scholarship application is to be turned in and the deadline.

Communities Foundation of Texas’s 2025-2026 Scholarship Applications 

CFT has over 50 scholarship opportunities and will award around $1.5 million in scholarship funds. Below highlights a few of CFT scholarships:

CREW in the Community Scholarship provides scholarships of up to $5,000 each year to female students who are pursuing a degree in a Qualified Field of Commercial Real Estate at any accredited 2-year or 4-year undergraduate or graduate college or university (Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental, Land Surveying, etc.) Deadline: March 1, 2026.

The ECLAT Foundation Scholarship provides one-year $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors or college students who plan to or attend an accredited college or university in the State of Texas. Deadline: April 1, 2026.

The LIFE Association Trade Scholarship provides one-year scholarships of up to $5,000 that may be used for tuition books and fees at any accredited community college or nonprofit trade school in the state of Texas to pursue a trade or vocational degree or certification (Ex: firefighting, automotive tech, welding, medical tech, etc.) Deadline: May 1, 2026.

The John and Rheba Myers Scholarship provides scholarship(s) of up to the full amount of tuition and fees for an academic year, to graduating high school seniors in the Kaufman, Van Zandt, Wood and Smith Counties of Texas, or residents of those counties who are returning to an accredited academic institution of higher learning. Awards may be used to support tuition and fees at any 2-year or 4-year academic institution of higher learning in the United States. There are no limitations on areas of study.  Deadline: April 1, 2026

Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas
MCFS has a 125-year legacy of providing hope for Texas youth. Scholarships are valued at $2500 and MCFS will award $500,000 total! Deadline: March 1, 2026

Linda Thomas Safe Driving Scholarship
NET RMA is proud to present the Linda Thomas Safe Driving Scholarship to promote safe driving practices to Northeast Texas high school students and the community. Ten eligible students will each receive a $2,000 scholarship for college expenses. The winners are selected based on the strength of their essays, academic achievements, and extracurricular involvement. Deadline: March 16, 2026

Trinity Capital Bank Scholarship
TCB/ESB offers scholarships (per branch) to graduating seniors of either Ennis ISD, Sunnyvale ISD, Forney ISD or Crandall ISD. To be considered for these scholarships, graduating applicants must complete the required application and submit it along with the necessary references on or before the specified due date. Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the ESB/TCB Scholarship Committee after interviews with select applicants have been completed. Forms should be submitted to the local TCB Branch in Forney or by email as indicated on the application. Deadline: March 27, 2026

Cooperative Teachers Credit Union (CTCU) Scholarship
The scholarships, in the amounts of $2,500 each, are named in honor of Mary Clift, Ed McMillan, Tommy Tomlinson and Elmer Wynne. The scholarships are named for their many years of volunteer service as directors to the credit union and their dedicated years of service in the field of education. The (4) $2,500 scholarships are awarded to high school graduates planning to attend a college or university during the academic year following their high school graduation. The completed application should be turned into your high school counselor. 2026 CTCU Academic Scholarship Application Deadline: March 20, 2026

The Legacy Ag Credit Scholarship
This scholarship program is designed to provide financial assistance to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence and a deep passion for agriculture. Whether your interests lie in production agriculture, agribusiness, or supporting industries, Legacy Ag Credit is committed to investing in students who are shaping the future of agriculture. Deadline: March 20, 2026

TVCC Board of Trustees Scholarship
TVCC will award one scholarship to an FHS student in the amount of $2000. Deadline: March 30, 2026

Trinity Valley Electric TVEC 2026 Scholarship
This scholarship is for students with TVC Electric Cooperative Service. Applicants must complete the online form which will include a Proof of Residency, a questionnaire, and an essay. Deadline: March 30, 2026

2026 Consuela Payne Parker Scholarship
The Consuella Payne-Parker Scholarship will be awarded as one scholarship in the amount of $1000. Eligible participants must be graduating high school seniors (male or female) in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and must be enrolled as a full time student in an accredited four-year college or university by the following academic school year. Deadline: March 31, 2026 

The Kaufman County Master Gardener Association Scholarship
The KCMGA scholarship is open to graduating 2026 high school seniors currently residing in Kaufman County who attend a public or private Kaufman County High School. Application is open to high school graduating senior students who plan to major in a horticulture / life science related field. Deadline: March 31, 2026

Pearls by the Lake Foundation Scholarship
The Pearls by the Lake Foundation is proud to award scholarships to deserving graduating high school seniors within Kaufman and Rockwall Counties and the surrounding areas who demonstrate academic achievement, participate in community services, and have been accepted into a two year or four year college/university. Deadline: April 1, 2026

Texas Tech Alumni Scholarship
The Texas Tech Alumni Association awards hundreds of scholarships funded by alumni contributions. These scholarships are awarded to deserving incoming freshmen students. TTAA scholarships are awarded based on a variety of factors including ethnicity, academic merit and financial need. Deadline: April 1, 2026

Jake Wilson Memorial Scholarship
The Jake Wilson Memorial Foundation awards scholarships in memory of Jake Wilson, a Terrell HS graduate to honor his life and legacy. Deadline: April 1, 2026

The Kaufman County A&M Club Scholarship
The Kaufman County A&M Club will be awarding several scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 2026 throughout the county. The amount of these scholarships will be $1,000 each. To be eligible for this scholarship all recipients must be accepted intoTexas A&M University, College Station Campus in the Fall of 2026, be residents of Kaufman County, and graduate from a Kaufman County high school. Deadline: April 1, 2026

TVCC Foundation Scholarship Application
The Trinity Valley Community College Foundation scholarship requires students to turn in 2 letters of recommendation, an unofficial transcript, as well as a personal essay explaining how these funds will make a difference to them. Open to students who will be attending TVCC in the Fall. Deadline: June 1, 2026 (Priority Deadline: April 1, 2026)

Northeast TX County & District Clerks’ Region VI Scholarship
For eligible students in Northeast Texas Counties. Scholarship applications must be received by mail as indicated in the application by the deadline to be considered. Deadline: April 1, 2026

Clay Jones Legacy Foundation Scholarship
The Clay Jones Legacy Foundation awards scholarships with the help of the Jones Family in memory of Clay Jones, former Forney High School student. Deadline: April 3, 2026

AJ Brown Memorial Scholarship
The family of AJ Brown is awarding this scholarship to an FHS percussion band student in memory of their son, AJ Brown, a former Forney ISD student. Deadline: April 10, 2026 by  4:15 PM

Farmers Electric Cooperative Scholarship
Farmers Electric Cooperative created the scholarship award program to encourage and assist in the educational pursuits of high school seniors whose parent or legal guardian is an active Farmers EC member. Eligible students will have a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applications must be submitted online on the site above. Deadline: April 10, 2026 by 5 PM

North Texas Antique Tractor & Engine Club Scholarship
Here is a scholarship opportunity for 2026 graduating seniors who have participated in AFNR and are members of FFA. Deadline: April 10, 2026

Forney Lions Club Scholarship
This scholarship is for Forney ISD students! It requires 10 hours of community service with the Forney Lions Club. Deadline: April 11, 2026

TVCC Red Bird Scholarship Application
The Red Bird Leadership Program is a prestigious scholarship program for students who are outgoing, responsible, respected by their peers, and eager to lead. This opportunity is perfect for students who want to make a difference while gaining leadership experience, earning college credit, and receiving a scholarship. Miss Forney Scholarship 2026 (for junior students only)
This competition celebrates leadership, excellence, and community engagement, providing 11th-grade students with an opportunity to showcase their talents and make a positive impact. About Miss Forney Scholarship Pageant/Criteria Deadline: April 18, 2026

Tanya Nelson Golf Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Forney High School Seniors that are currently on the FHS golf team.

Henderson Elementary Scholarship Application
This scholarship is open to students who attended Henderson Elementary in grades K–4. Deadline: April 24, 2026

CoServ Electric Scholarship Application
Two scholarships in the amount of $1000 to be used during the 2026-2027 academic year for tuition, fees, or books. This scholarship is open to high school seniors at North Forney HS,  Forney HS, Virtual Academy and GOALS that use CoServ as their electric company. Deadline: April 24, 2026

2026 Forney High School Ex Students Association Scholarship
The Forney High School Ex Students Association will offer multiple scholarships to graduating FHS seniors who plan to pursue further education at a college or trade school. Deadline: April 24, 2026

Cody Lambert Memorial Scholarship
The Cody Lambert Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a FHS senior in memory of Cody Lambert, a former FHS student. Deadline: April 30, 2026  Deadline: April 1, 2026

Play for Em Foundation Scholarship
The Play for Em Foundation awards scholarships in memory of Emily Galiano to help high school students reach their dreams of attending college. Deadline: April 30, 2026

First State Bank Scholarship
First State Bank offers a scholarship yearly to children of First State Bank customers or graduating seniors who are First State Bank customers to aid in college education at Trinity Valley Community College or Navarro College. Deadline: May 1, 2026 by 4 PM

First State Bank Mary Helen Myrick Scholarship
The Mary Helen Myrick Scholarship has been established to allow deserving young men and women of families with low to moderate income to attend college or technical school by providing a scholarship to help the applicant further their education at the college of their choice. The qualification of our scholarship is first and foremost need based. First State Bank will present a scholarship certificate to one senior in the amount of $500.00 for their educational opportunities. Applications should be completed by the high school students and submitted to the FHS counseling office with all required documents. Deadline: May 1, 2026 by 4 PM

Forney Arts Council Scholarship
The FAC scholarship program allows us to recognize excellence in the youth arts community and overall community involvement. In addition, we hope to encourage Forney graduating seniors who have an interest in or passion for the arts to continue their arts education and pursue those fields of study in their college careers. Deadline: May 1, 2026

Claybon Elementary Scholarship Application
Claybon Elementary PTO will award one scholarship in the amount of $500 to a senior who attended Claybon Elementary! Deadline: May 6, 2026

Johnson Elementary School Alumni Scholarship
Johnson Elementary PTO will award TWO scholarships in the amount of $500. To be eligible, applicants MUST have ATTENDED Johnson Elementary for at least 4 years and are graduating from FISD in the 25-26 school year. Deadline: May 8, 2026
