Farm Bureau TSTC Texan Success Scholarship

      Deadline: ongoing

       Sponsored by the TExas Farm Bureau, this scholarship is for students attending Texas State Technical College (TSTC).  Seventy $1000 scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first serve basis through the Texas Success Scholarship.  Applicant must be (or their parent) a member of a Texas Farm Bureau family and be in good standing. 

        Another $20,000 is available through the TSTC Helping Hands Fund, which is meant to help students with unexpected costs that do not qualify for academic financial aid.

Altruism + All Good Deeds Scholarship

      Deadline: May 31, 2025

      Awarded through the National Parent Volunteer Association.  Award Amount: $1000.  Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or better and participate in volunteer work/community service.  Must submit an essay describing a good deed that you have done. 

Act of Kindness Scholarship

      Deadline: Feb 28, 2025

      Awarded through the National Parent Volunteer Association.  Award Amount: $1000.  Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or better.  Must submit an essay describing how you have shown acts of kindness. 

Texas Leadership Scholars Program

       Deadline: Feb 15, 2025

      Eligible students must have participated in a sport for at least 3 years, have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher, must align with the GetTo motto and philosophy as identified by the athletic director, should be community involved, donate time to charities or causes and demonstrate leadership capabilities.  Students must receive nomination from high school athletic director or school administrator. 

FFA Scholarships

       Deadline:  Jan 9, 2025

       Students who are members of the FFA can apply for multiple FFA scholarships through this one application.  Opportunities for scholarships through Ford, Bayer Fund "Grow Ag Leaders", TSC Tractor Supply,  Darling Ingredients, Farm Credit, Firestone, Dominos and many more.  

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

       Generous four year scholarships and support services to highly motivated minority students with financial need to ensure their success and develop their leadership potential.

Ray Stoesser Memorial Scholarship 

       Administered by the US Rice Producers Association

       Deadline: December 6, 2024

       $5000 scholarship for one high school senior or current college student who is interested in pursuing a career in an agricultural field.   The selected recipient also will serve as a student ambassador for USRPA in 2025.  

 Joseph S. Rumbaugh Historical Oration Contest and Scholarship 

       Adminstered through the East Fork-Trinity Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution in Rockwall.

The contest is open to all high school students, boys and girls, grades 9-12.  At the state level first place receives a $2500 scholarship; 2nd - $750; 3rd place - $500; 4th place - $300; 5th and 6th places $150 each.  The top state winners will compete at the National S.A.R. convention for a chance to win a $6000 scholarship; 2nd - $4000; and 3rd - $2000; with places 4-6 receiving $500 each. 

Participants must write an original oration of not less than five minutes, or more than six minutes. The oration must be delivered from memory and without the use of notes or any kind of props. "The subject of the oration shall deal with an event, a personality, or a document pertaining to the Revolutionary War with an emphasis on our nation’s 250th anniversary celebration. It is essential that each oration show the relationship it bears to America today. Evidence of historical research and creative presentation are also important. The oration will be judged based upon its composition, delivery, significance, historical accuracy and relevance to our 250th anniversary."  Note: there is a slight discrepancy regarding the subject of the oration between the national and Texas state websites.  The national website is correct and has been stated in quotations above.  The state site will be corrected. 

Students could potentially earn up to $8500 in scholarships at the chapter, state and national levels.  The Texas S.A.R. president encourages students to take their written orations and submit them to the S.A.R. essay contest for an additional scholarship opportunity.

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship

    Deadline: Dec 19, 2024 at 4:00 PM (Eastern Time)

    This scholarship awards 400 high school seniors with college scholarships up to $40,000, internships opportunities at Amazon and more!   Eligible students are seeking to continue their education in computer sicence or engineering education.

Equitable Excellence Scholarship

     Deadline: Dec 18, 2024

     This scholarship seeks to award scholarships up to $20,000 to students who demonstrate ambition and self-drive to be a force for good in their communities. Students must have a mininum GPA of 2.5. 

Burger King Scholars

      Deadline:  December 15, 2024

This scholarship awards scholarships from $1000 to $60,000.   Eligible students must have a GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale and plan to enroll in an accredited 2 or 4 year collge univeristy or technical school.  Additional scholarships are also available to employees or dependent children of employees.  

Ron Brown Scholars Program

     Deadline: Dec 1, 2024

     This scholarship honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for community-minded and intellectually gifted African American students.   This scholarship awards 20-25 four year $40,000 scholarships to the most talented and econimcally challenged studetns who demonstrate a keen interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship and golba citizenship. 

Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship

    Deadline: Dec 1, 2024

    This scholarship seeks to award students based on the most compelling stories - regarding their life story, their intended fiend of study, career and how they will make an impact on the world.  Given in memory of Ted Rollins, a visionary, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and accomplished musician who had a vision to give deserving high school seniors a helping hand toward their college tuition. 

Women in Tech Scholarship

    Deadline: Nov 30, 2024

     Awarded by Designli.  This scholarship seeks to award a $3000 scholarship to a female high school, college, or graduate student from the U.S. interested in technology and entrepreneurship.

Aaliyah Lee Scholarship

    Deadline: Nov 30, 2024

    Awarded through National Parent Volunteer Association.  Award amount: $1000.  Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and submit the best 250 word personal statment responding to the prompt: Describe why education is important to you."

National Honor Society (NHS) Scholarship

     Deadline: Nov 26, 2024

     Awarded through the National Honor Society National Organization.  Eligible students must be an active member in good standing of a NHS chapter and pursuing a degree at an accredited US College or University. 

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Scholarship

     Deadline: Nov 15, 2024

     Awards up to $25,000! Open for Hispanic/Latino students pursuing careers in Agirbusiness, Agriculture, Food Science/Nutiition, Horticulture/Floriculture, Natural Resources, Enviornmental Science, Paper and Pulp Enigneering and Architecture.  Minimum GPA 2.5.
